Charie Flynn, M.A., is a Black yoga practitioner who has conducted research on African American health disparities and yoga meditation benefits. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in human development. She is the founder and president of the non-profit organization Life Cure Foundation. Charie has traveled many countries observing and engaging in the life course experience across cultures. She received her yoga teacher training in Rishikesh, India and produced this thesis research at Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena, California to raise awareness on yoga benefits and the current Black health crisis.
